One of the global leaders in the tech industry, Samsung has partnered with Nifty Gateway to create the first-ever Smart TV NFT platform. The company announced its intentions to join the NFT space earlier in 2022 and has finally explained how its smart TVs will be used as NFT gateways. Samsung Smart TVs are one of the most popular TVs, so it’s expected to be successful in the NFT space.
Samsung Explains How Its TVs Will Be NFT Gateways
Samsung is finally fulfilling the promise it made to bring NFTs to its Smart TVs, as it announced its partnership with Nifty Gateway to create the first Smart TV NFT platform in the world. Nifty Gateway is a popular NFT auction site and announced that it is now integrated with the Samsung NFT platform in its press release.
In the 2022 premium TV product lines like the Neo QLED TV and QLED, customers can now browse and interact with NFTs right from their TV. There will be a Nifty Gateway app on the Samsung Micro LED TV and The Frame.
How it works is that you can display NFTs on your Samsung TV. And you will be able to sell and buy them through Nifty Gateway. Remember that Nifty Gateway has stricter requirements on who can sell on its platform than OpenSea, a widely used NFT market.

The Samsung TV will connect to the custodial wallet system on Nifty Gateway, as the latter platform is known for securing users’ collectibles instead of using an external wallet. Users can also purchase with a credit/debit card or cryptocurrency.
Griffin Cock Foster, the co-founder of Nifty Gateway, stated, ‘Through our partnership with Samsung, one of the global leaders of electronics, together we will expose millions of mainstream users to NFTs. Last year, NFTs had a breakthrough moment specifically for the art industry. Creators and collectors were able to see the power of this technology.’
Samsung also emphasized that its Smart TVs will have settings that would display the artist’s intention of the NFT, so customers can expect accuracy whenever they display an NFT. The TVs also allow you to display NFTs as ambient artwork since they would be part of the Smart Hub.
The Company Announced Its Intentions Earlier This Year
Earlier in January 2022, Samsung, the Korean tech giant, announced that it had plans to enter the NFT space. It further emphasized that these new NFT functionalities will be integrated into their 2022 product lines. When they first announced it, there was no further explanation of how it would work, but now, they have fully explained how it would work.
Samsung is partnering with the leading NFT marketplace, Nifty Gateway. The latter company announced the partnership and will now be integrated into Samsung’s 2022 TV offerings. According to the co-founder of Nifty Gateway, Duncan Cock Foster, ‘With our mission in mind, we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Samsung to develop a groundbreaking NFT collecting experience.
Their dedication to user experience and focus on the highest quality displays align perfectly with our vision of allowing anyone to interact with their favourite creators.’Samsung is well-known for placing a lot of attention on research and development, so their Smart TVs have become very popular. They are now the rave among consumers, with very few companies doing it better than Samsung.
Samsung is also a global leader, always at the front of new technology. And now, Samsung’s latest innovation in the NFT space is being described as the future and might change the world.
The Future for Samsung in the NFT Space
