NFT investors and entrepreneurs founded the MBS in February this year with the goal of creating a “physical IRL utility that has concrete value” for members by combining an actual brewery with the Metaverse, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), and NFTs.

There will be tokenized “beer shares” offered by MBS as part of the experiment, with different degrees of governance rights over a real-world Munich brewer with virtual counterparts as well. Consideration has been given to the Sandbox platform as a site.
There will be a minimum of 100 cans of free beer each year for all NFT holders, with the sale of NFTs helping to pay for the acquisition and expansion of a brewery. The initiative will subsequently construct a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) made up of the NFT holders after the actual site has been bought.
MBS co-founder and CEO Holger Mannweiler mentioned that the DAO would play a vital role in the company’s governance and customer research in the future. From which beers to brew, how to price them to non-NFT holders, where to sell them, etc., the DAO will make all critical commercial choices.”
Furthermore, “the great thing about this DAO is that it also represents a massive permanent target market, something that other consumer brands require a great deal of time and money for,” he said.
MBS plans to provide a total of 6,000 NFTs in two phases, with the first batch of access granted to whitelisted members at an undisclosed date. As soon as 75% of the NFTs have been coined, the MBS will buy an existing brewery and rename it the “MetaBrewery.”
When asked whether he thought the initiative will distribute a second NFT to NFT holders “so they may sell/monetize” the beer allotment right for each year, Mannweiler said, “most certainly.”
While serving as an online store for its beer, the Metaverse-based brewery version of the MBS’s brewery will also be used to raise awareness of the initiative.

The co-founder of the MBS has suggested that if a second brewery becomes a reality, the MBS may launch a second NFT drop.
In terms of extra tokens, our DAO will look at a variety of possibilities. First and foremost, we’re considering dropping additional NFTs in order to acquire a second brewery… “If we find a big enough demand for our strategy, we may do this one after the other,” he added.
