About Raydium
Raydium is a Serum decentralized exchange automated market maker (AMM) and liquidity provider based on the Solana blockchain (DEX). In contrast to other AMMs, Raydium delivers on-chain liquidity to a central limit order book, which means that assets deposited into Raydium are turned into limit orders. These orders are placed on Serum’s order books after being transformed into limit orders. So Raydium LP holders will be able to access all of Serum’s order flow, in addition to the existing liquidity they already have.
RAY is a native utility token that holders may use for a variety of purposes, including:
- Earning protocol fees with staking
- Receiving IDO allocations
- Protocol voting by governance
Genopets coming to AcceleRaytor
Raydium took to Twitter a few hours ago to announce the launch of Genopets, an NFT MMORPG. The Genopets is an NFT-based Web 3.0 gaming project that rewards players for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
GenePets is based on three gaming themes:
- the care and development of Tamagotchi,
- the training and combating of Pokemon
- the crafting and gathering of Animal Crossing
The game’s mechanics will be centered on integrating fitness wristbands, which will transform players’ real-life movement into in-game experience points for advancement. In other words, users will receive reward tokens as they engage in physical activities and mini-games.
Genopets’ in-game economy will be based on the use of two distinct tokens. The first is GENE, which will serve as the Genopets Universe’s governance and staking token (known as the Genoverse).
GENE token holders will have a say in how the game evolves in the future, and they may also use their tokens to wager for prizes. The second token is KI, which will be used as a reward for players that win fights.
The game, which has been in the building phase for quite some time, will finally be available on AcceleRaytor, Raydium’s launchpad for new Solana projects, in the coming weeks.

Raydium’s token distribution and current price
The developers issued 555,000,000 tokens at genesis for Raydium’s main net, which went live on February 21st, 2021. An incentive program will issue 34% of the total number of coins over three years. Raydium plans to use 30% of its tokens towards collaborations and the growth of its ecosystem.
This includes providing funds to organizations constructing projects on the Raydium protocol assisting the communities in general. These tokens are generally locked for a year before unlocking in waves over the next two years.
