Emirates now accepts Payment in BTC
Emirates, the biggest airline in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced intentions to adopt Bitcoin (BTC) payments and develop nonfungible tokens (NFTs) that may be exchanged on the company’s websites.

UAE CEO Adel Ahmed Al-Redha allegedly told a media gathering at Arabian Travel Market about Emirates’ plans to hire additional personnel to work on blockchain-related initiatives such as cryptocurrency payments, monitoring the blockchain, metaverse and NFTs.
There are reports that the airline is considering utilizing blockchain to maintain track of its planes. Emirates to Launch NFT Collection
Emirates‘ chief operating officer, Adel Ahmed Al-Redha, says the airline is embracing emerging technologies like the metaverse and NFTs in order to broaden its reach.
The airline business is steadily making a return as more and more passengers are arriving, according to Al-Redha. A Bitcoin payment service and NFT collectibles are among the new technologies the company is adopting in order to increase its reach.
Blockchain and cryptocurrency payments have been on the minds of airports and airlines all around the world. To verify COVID-19 test findings in February 2021, Air France teamed together with numerous other firms to establish a blockchain-based solution.
Dogecoin (DOGE) and Ether (ETH) have been introduced to airBaltic’s payment choices in March 2021. A variety of currencies, including bitcoin (BTC), the Binance USD, and the Gemini Dollar, are accepted by the airline. Since 2014, BTC has been accepted (GUSD).
Volaris El Salvador, the country’s national airline, stated in October 2021 that it will accept Bitcoin payments. El Salvador has already pushed for the acceptance of BTC by declaring it legal money.
