Polygon And Arweave Integration: What Permanent Storage Truly Means

While this news is poised to excite the Polygon community and the crypto-verse at large, it also opens developers to unique opportunities to scale. With added support for Arweave’s Integration permanent data storage, developers can now make decentralized storage accessible inside Polygon apps through Arweave’s Bundir Network.

According to the company, it plans to bring this capability to end-users as it is working around the clock to integrate it into all of the wallets in the Polygon ecosystem. To speed the adoption, Polygon, Arweave, and Bundlr are offering devs a $9,000 grant to build these features.

If you have been following happenings in the crypto space lately, you’ll know that there has been a recent explosion of activities in the DeFi ecosystem as well as in the areas of NFTs. And since Ethereum is the number one platform of choice for many DeFi and NFT projects, there have been complaints about network congestion and exorbitant transaction fees. But thanks to the unique proposition offered by the Polygon network, vis a vis,  low transaction fees, and a broad range of scaling options, Polygon is increasingly becoming the go destination for many decentralized applications.

According to stats, the number of decentralized applications building on Polygon has grown by over 100-fold in the last year to almost 3,000 as of October.
