Key Points
- Bitcoin’s price recovery is attributed to the release of several billion USDT stablecoins and weakened selling pressure.
- Increased capital inflow into cryptocurrency investment products and interest in Bitcoin ETFs also fuel Bitcoin’s rise.
The recent surge in the price of Bitcoin (BTC) above $70,000 is attributed to several factors. After weeks of price correction, the selling pressure has weakened due to a significant portion of investors’ profits reaching $2.7 billion.
Moreover, short-term bond holders have stopped realizing losses from the price correction, further aiding the recovery.
Role of Stablecoins and Savings Addresses
An additional factor driving Bitcoin’s recovery is the minting of several billion USDT stablecoins last week. There appears to be a strong correlation between the market cap of USDT and the price of Bitcoin.
Another trend that supports Bitcoin’s recovery is the substantial influx of BTC into savings addresses. Bitcoin reserves have reached an all-time high.
Market Sentiment and Investment Influx
The Fear and Greed Index indicates ‘extreme greed’ among BTC traders as Bitcoin’s price soared to $72,000. The upcoming halving in April and continued interest in spot Bitcoin ETFs are considered two key reasons for the rise.
There is also a noticeable increase in capital inflow into cryptocurrency investment products. From March 30 to April 5, inflows amounted to $646 million. Since the start of the year, total receipts have reached a record $13.8 billion.
