Key Points
- Nubit and Succinct have launched Nuport, a new interface that connects different blockchains.
- Nuport allows the modular blockchain to bridge to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and others through Succinct SP1.
Nubit, a modular blockchain platform backed by Polychain, and Web3 firm Succinct have jointly introduced Nuport. This new interface uses Nubit’s data availability layer to establish connections among various blockchains.
Nuport’s Blockchain Bridge
The announcement made by Nubit on August 6 stated that Nuport would enable the modular blockchain to form a bridge with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and other blockchains. The bridge will be built using Succinct SP1, a virtual machine powered by zero-knowledge that lets developers create real-world applications with zero knowledge proofs.
Developers can access ZKPs by writing Rust, thanks to SP1 integration. Moreover, any blockchain ecosystem can utilize Succinct SP1 through the Nubit DA to facilitate high-throughput applications. Nuport will make these projects benefit from data availability secured by Bitcoin.
Security and Scalability with Nubit
Nubit now provides a platform that ensures security, scalability, and efficiency for the decentralized applications developer community following this development. Succinct SP1 also enables Nubit to adapt to the changing environment and needs of the blockchain ecosystem.
Several zero-knowledge L2 projects, such as Zcash, Starknet, Immutable X, Polygon zkEVM, and ZKsync, are examples of this. SP1 currently provides teams across the space with access to production ZK. This includes projects on Polygon, Celestia, Gnosis, and Taiko, with use cases varying from cross-chain interoperability, bridging, coprocessors, oracles, and Bitcoin layer-2.
Furthermore, Nubit’s blockchain technology supports applications across various fields, including artificial intelligence, SocialFi, and GameFi.
